Creating Sustainable Impact - Fulfilling Corporate Commitments

Cathay Hospitality Management (CHM) places sustainability at the heart of its mission, delivering exceptional dining and lodging experiences. Through our "Care Your Stay" philosophy, we translate corporate social responsibility into meaningful action. In 2023, we established the Corporate Sustainability Committee to align our operations with the 2050 Global Net-Zero goal and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As part of our environmental commitment, we phased out single-use amenities in July 2023, inviting our guests to join the "Green Traveler" movement and support a sustainable future.

Practicing Environmentalism - Embracing Sustainability

Expanding its sustainability efforts, CHM aligns with the SDGs and international sustainability frameworks. By integrating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) principles into its operations, CHM aims to maximize its positive impact.

Engaging in Local Green Symbiosis-Promoting Sustainable Dining

CHM is taking concrete actions to reduce its carbon footprint by prioritizing the selection of local ingredients and implementing green procurement principles. Starting from 2025, its subsidiary hotels have fully promoted eco-friendly and farm-to-table meals, introducing non-caged eggs and gradually increasing the procurement ratio of ethical ingredients. Through everyday dining experiences, guests can participate in supporting local agriculture and environmental protection while they eat, realizing the value of "Farm-to-Table." This initiative also demonstrates the enterprise's commitment to respecting life and fulfilling its sustainable responsibilities.

Earth Hour

CHM invites all team members and guests to unite for Earth Hour. Each year, our portfolio—including HOTEL COZZI, Madison Taipei, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown—joins this global movement by switching off non-essential lights for one hour. Through this symbolic act, we reaffirm our commitment to environmental stewardship and our role as a responsible global corporate citizen.

Giving Back to Society – Asset Donations Supporting Rural Communities - Caring for Children and Disadvantaged Families

CHM has a long-standing commitment to social welfare, actively contributing to communities through its hospitality initiatives. These efforts include donating mooncakes to underprivileged groups, sponsoring hotel stays for children from rural elementary schools, and inviting children from orphanages to celebrate Children's Day at its hotels. Such initiatives highlight CHM's dedication to corporate social responsibility and commitment to corporate social responsibility. In 2024, CHM expanded its social impact by donating 90 LCD TVs, 100 Bluetooth speakers and various home appliances to bring warmth to those in need. The recipients were carefully chosen: Padan Tribe Junior and Elementary School(高雄市巴楠花部落中小學) in Kaohsiung, a school that incorporates SDGs cultural sustainability into its curriculum. CHM also made an on-site visit to the campus to learn about Bunun culture, further demonstrating its support for indigenous talent cultivation and the school's commitment to sustainable development.
